In Neale Donald Walsch’s book, Conversations with God, I came across this wonderful quote offering advice on how to pray…
“The correct prayer is never a prayer of supplication, but a prayer of Gratitude”.
There is such beauty and simplicity in the idea that you pray, not for that which you don’t have, but for that which you already have.
This little practice has a HUGE positive impact on our energy field – it raises it up. And maintaining a high vibration in our energy field is the KEY to attracting more of what we want into our life AND ultimately it’s the KEY to life satisfaction. Follow your Bliss!
Giving Thanks
I’ve been giving thanks for years but only in my head, in my self talk. I’ve only recently started keeping a Gratitude Journal where I write down what I’m grateful for each day.
I do this right before bed – and these days it’s not because I should but because I want to – it feels so good! I’m averaging writing in my journal about five out of seven nights each week which is pretty good for me. I’ve never been consistent with this stuff in the past.
I’m so Grateful that I started writing in my Gratitude Diary each night.
Staying Confident and Optimistic
My daily journaling has been a core part of keeping my vibration high and my outlook confident and optimistic despite everything that’s unravelling on the planet right now.
The dedicated daily time to reflect helps me PRAY – the perfect prayer – a prayer of Gratitude for ALL that I DO have…right now. It’s also helping me see the gifts that are born from adversity in my own life and in the world.
If you are looking for an inspired tool to help you nurture your soul and deepen your practice of gratitude, I highly recommend Melanie’s Gratitude Diary. (If you buy a diary, and use our link, we’ll receive a small commission! Those funds help us keep TCG going strong.)
Stay safe and well and remember to keep hunting for things to be grateful for. They are always there when you look – even in the shadows!
