We all have limited time we can spend in a day. In our life. Time is the most valuable resource we have. It makes sense that we want to spend more time on things we are passionate about.

Hiring a tech tool can be effective to get more time available. It can also help us to get more things done in the same amount of time. And boost client happiness when starting the journey with you.

When it comes down to the different tasks we do in our business, then it’s easy to get overwhelmed . Especially when you are a solopreneur.

We need systems to attract soulmate clients and to work with them. Giving the best possible experience from the moment they get to know you until you conclude your coach-client relationship. And maybe after too.

Your ideal client’s journey

What would your ideal client’s journey look like when you had unlimited time?

Cool tech solutions can help you to craft the ideal client’s journey.

Using tech, you can automate welcome messages or dripping specific learning materials that help them along the way.

At the right moment, to keep engagement and maximise momentum.
Once the automation is created, it will always do the right thing at the right time, for each client. Without your interaction.

Also, tech can help us to scale up the number of people we can help. For instance, you can host online courses or digital products. So that you don’t need to explain everything over and over for each client. The extra time can be used to dive deeper into the transformation you provide.

Although tech can boost our client happiness to a higher level, there is also a risk that we should consider when choosing tech solutions. Especially when you have a human-centered business like a coaching business.

Having a human experience with technology

How can we have a human-to-human experience while using technology?

As coaches, we are still in a human business, where we help humans. Tech should not be a proxy for all human interactions. Tech Is only there to support and enhance what we want to achieve with our clients.

A good balance is needed. Creating a valuable experience for your clients. However, be aware that less human interaction means less value for your clients. No matter how much extra content or training material you provide.

It’s perfectly possible to have a no-tech way of doing things. However, we all know that life happens. Tech can make things easier and increase customer happiness in a predictable way, without necessitating your presence the whole time.

Let’s dive a bit deeper into the different areas of running a business. By writing out each step, you can design a great roadmap for having a happy client. Tech can enhance each step and uplift the experience for your client or for yourself.

Creating Soulmate Clients (Acquisition)

We all need clients to get paid. Before a client is paying, people need to know us first. That starts with visibility and leads to better trust.

There are tools that help us to plan and publish articles or smaller posts automatically. So that you don’t need to publish every piece of content manually to get more visibility.

Once a potential client loves your message and your energy and wants to start working with you, tech can help guide them to the next step. Even enroll someone automatically into your program.

A good example is a website. Even though websites are not required, they can help you greatly. With your website, you can build pages that show your story, your message, and your different offerings. You can connect all sorts of tech solutions that make your life easier.
Tech can help to book conversations, to automate payments and invoicing.

Having an automated welcome email is a great way to make clients feel excited to start working with you.

Having a process in place that helps them to the next step effortlessly, will give you a head start. Your client will feel ready to start working with you.

Working with Clients (Fulfilment & Admin)

Congratulations! You have welcomed a new client. Now you can focus on the thing you are passionate about: coaching your client.

Automation and tech can only be used when you have a repeatable process that you use for your clients. What are the steps that you do each time for each client? How can you enhance the experience for each step?

That’s why I help my clients to simplify their processes and to create a signature framework that is repeatable. So that there is a way to design a certain desired experience for the client.

It could mean that you use low-tech solutions, like a Google document to teach in combination with video. Or a workbook that has been created in a tech tool. Or an online course with video or audio.

A rule of thumb is the more access your clients have to you, the less technology is needed.

That’s why starting with one-on-one coaching or even small groups does not require a lot of tech. It could be sufficient to have software for doing video calls if you work online. More tech will make things easier though.

When you choose to deliver results on automation, like with an online program, then you will need tech in every step of the client’s journey. Tech can also help you engage your clients. For instance, dripping new content every week to prevent overwhelm and trigger action.

Revenue

Running a business also means that you need to do some administration tasks. Like bookkeeping and paying taxes.

Keeping track of your money flow is needed to keep your business healthy and set long-term goals. Using tech to send out invoices and keeping track of the expenses will help you a lot. Even when someone else is doing your bookkeeping.

There are a lot of tech tools that automatically create invoices when a client enrolls online. These tools also have dashboards where you can see the daily / monthly revenue. They can even combine your expenses and revenue, so that you see that you are keeping up with your money goals.

From happy customers to referral

Giving the best possible result by doing great work is off course the most important part of your business. Happy customers will likely spread the news to other people they know.

Getting new clients that were referred by existing customers is a lot easier. You can help your existing customers by referring other people. And give them a bonus to encourage them.

There are tech tools where you can work with affiliates where a percentage of the revenue goes to the person that brings a new client on board. This will help both your client and you to grow with soul-aligned clients.

Using tech to craft a better (client) happiness

Although cool tech solutions are not needed, they can help you and your business greatly.

They can help you to save time, to keep track of your goals and to enhance the client experience.

Once something is automated, it can be repeated for each client, without you needing to push the buttons. This can be a blessing for you and for your client.
Life is too short to do things you are not passionate about. That’s where automation with cool tech solutions can help you to automate the boring routine tasks that take away energy.
