How to Use Workshops To Grow and Leverage Your Existing Business

One of the challenges I see with coaches and healers that have hit their ceiling with a one on one practice is that they don’t know how to begin creating what I call “wiggle room to scale their ideas”. Scaling your one-on-one services, freeing up your time, and growing your impact from one to many requires systemizing the one-on-one work you do. This means developing your unique method or transformation system.

Often this initial step feels overwhelming, especially for coaches and practitioners that already have a full book and may not have the time or headspace to step back, do the work to systematize, create a whole new offering and then try to sell it to new clients.

Luckily, there is a simple way to get started: develop a workshop or retreat for your current one-on-one clients.
Creating workshops for your existing clients is a low-risk approach to experiment with your ideas and get good feedback to help you grow – because your clients already know, like, and trust you.
This is can help you systematize and scale your work, strengthen your current business and create an influx of new income.

And it is easy to get started with these simple steps…

1. What goal will be resolved?

Focus on a single pain point that most of your one on one clients struggle with and hone in on the common goal that they all share in resolving it. An example from my world is the problem of how to make and keep a movement practice going. The common goal is to feel better on a daily basis, have less pain, and get stronger.

2. Choose 3-5 Tools

Then pull out 3-5 strategies, exercises, or tools that you use with your current clients that could help them resolve this pain point and reach their goal. These should be things you already do with your clients but maybe have not presented as systematically before.

3. Package it up

Create a few relevant new support materials and package them up as a workshop or mini-retreat to help your clients dig deeper into the work you are already doing in a community setting with a few new ideas and support materials. Workshops or retreats can be in person or virtual and last a few hours to a few days!
This is a great way to begin systemizing what you are already doing with your one on one clients into a group setting with people who are already familiar with your work. Plus, it is much easier to sell a new offering to people who have already bought from you before so this is an easy win for you as well as your clients. Developing workshops and retreats for your current clients will not only strengthen your current business but pave the way for you to develop new, scalable offerings for new clients that you have already tested and refined and feel confident teaching and selling. Do you currently have a booked-out one-on-one practice and want to start scaling your business, leveraging your time, and increasing your impact? The key is to create this “wiggle room to scale your system”. And this is exactly what I help my clients to do!
