Working the Masculine Way
Years before I founded online coaching business software, My Coach Office, I created another app called The Goal Tracker Program. It was an online accountability tool to keep track of your progress to your goals. The system was great in that it linked your vision to short term goals needed to make your vision a reality, and then your goals to weekly tasks needed to meet your goals on time. It was rigorous and tight! The only trouble is that life was so micromanaged that most mortals couldn’t keep up with their detailed plans.
I have to laugh at how structured and in my head I was about setting goals and designing my own reality back then. The Online Goal Tracker Program was effective in some ways but very MASCULINE.
Like salt, too much of a good thing ruins the dish.
I love my masculine side. He’s served me really well in my life but I’ve come to realise that he can’t do everything for me. I need my FEMININE too!
Working the Feminine Way
My feminine side works in a really different way from my masculine side. She let’s go of control, is patient, trusts in divine timing and receives signals about when it’s time to act by feeling within.
I’ve been experimenting with ler a lot over the past few years. It’s been a beautiful unfolding for me to stop pushing and to surrender. Letting go and surrendering was a lot harder for me to do than I thought it would be. It was a totally different way of being in the world! I had to change so much about who I was previously. She gave me a new Map of the world which I had to study and get to know before I could use it effectively.
In reflection I feel that I’ve let her take a bit too much control of operations. There’s been lots of healing, love, and spiritual growth but not as much outward progress in my businesses as I would like.
Balance
I have a stone on my desk with the word “Balance” carved into it. For me this word is a reminder for me to honor both my masculine and feminine sides. Just like a happy marriage when our inner masculine and our inner feminine work together as a team, with love and respect, the whole unit and everything it touches thrives.
My intention for 2022 is to consciously walk through the year with loving respect for the gifts my masculine side has to offer with equal respect for what my feminine side brings. I need both to be happy and successful. I love all of me.
