Dear Coach,

Roses, love-hearts, and boxes of chocolates come to mind whenever I think about February.

In Australia, where I live, February also marks the end of the summer break so kids are back to their school work, the holiday mood gets replaced with a “let’s get stuff done” mood, and some of the old routines start settling back in.

A sweet month indeed (especially for Moms with school age kids)!!!

BUT…it’s really Valentine’s Day that sets the tone for February – let’s face it, Love is in the air!

So, this February I invite you to turn your attention to the greatest love of all – the Love of Self.

My Journey with Self Love

I believe that at the deepest core of our being we are 100% Love. However, as we travel through life, somewhere between our birth and becoming an adult, we forget. We lose touch with the divine spark within. Neale Donald Walsch explains this beautifully in his book, Conversations with God.

We may have instances of re-membering this Love, for example in moments of BLISS (no wonder bliss-inducing practices and substances are so popular! We all want to know and feel the oneness of LOVE). But then we slip back because most of us are not skilled yet in how to hold on to this Power.

Fortunately, we can do our personal spiritual work and start remembering again. We do this by healing and clearing any blocks that are in the way of a loving connection with self. We are so lucky to live in a time where there are so many tools at our disposal for this work (see Tools for Transformation for more).
But, even once we start remembering our connection to Love, the feeling of it can fluctuate in each moment.

For example, the more I am in alignment with the truth of who I really am – the more I am able to tune in to my Love for myself. And when I allow myself to slip out of alignment, my self-love slips.

The key is to learn skills that enable us to navigate our life and business while maintaining our alignment with our true self so we can be in tune with our natural vibration of Love. And to work on consciously remembering, feeling, healing and clearing as we go.

People in Service Must Find Self Love

If you are struggling in your coaching business or healing practice, or if you are “winning” but your life (relationship, health, fun) is suffering… this is your invitation to lean into self love.

When you show up from a place of deep Self Love you are able to hold space, in unconditional love, for your clients’ growth – anything less is a disservice.

As coaches, healers and people in service to others, deeply loving ourselves and being able to tune into that love is the greatest gift we can give. Because it is then that we become a pure light on this planet in service to the evolution of humanity and the protection of Mother Earth.

Over the next 4-weeks, in the spirit of Self Love, I offer you this month’s articles – Enjoy. 😉

Happy Coaching!
