I believe that our world is in a time of crisis right now. You can read more about that here and here. At the same time I am optimistic and hopeful that this crumbling and letting go of the heavy old weight of what we already know will create space, freedom and opportunity for the NEW, lighter, higher vibrational way of being.
The world of coaching, being a coach and practicing coaching principles in my everyday life has really helped me be prepared and to keep hope alive right now. No matter what my coaching business does or does not do – I AM GRATEFUL FOR MY COACHING SKILLS (WOW, it always feels so good to be grateful!).
I needed to become a coach to be able to coach me. Coaching others is an optional bonus. The personal transformation I’ve experienced and keep experiencing thanks to my coach mindset has been the best investment I’ve ever made. I hope more and more people keep piling into coaching so they too can experience personal transformation and share that with their children, partners, friends, and if they are called to earn money from the skill, their clients too.
In the Coach Changemakers Facebook Group that I am a part of, seven of us have recently chosen to get together to explore what we can contribute to the future of coaching and to our coach collective. So far we’ve had three meetings.
Something clicked for me at our last meeting and I’d like to share some of this download with you…
I’ve been miffed for a while about the whole coaching industry. I’ve been trying to understand how I can love coaching and be repulsed by it at the same time.
Years ago I started interviewing coaching experts, and people who help coaches build their business. What I can see now is that the whole time I was hunting for the differences between people who are called to help others. Trying to put them into categories of “this is good” and “that is bad”. This is “heart centered” this is an “egomaniac”. etc.
In this intellectual processing I’d created mental SEPARATION from our collective. The good ones and the bad ones. The heart centered and the egomaniacs. That’s a true or untrue construct I created with my mind.
But when I tune in with what’s true in my body, it’s felt love and connection to every coach I’ve taken the time to interact with. I always relate to them in some way. I love their humanness. I relate to the calling to serve. I admire how we are all trying to find our way and walk our talk.
So on one hand my mind is telling me we are separate and on the other my body feels our oneness.
Oneness Feels Better
This group of 7 Changemakers, coming together as equals and sharing their coaching journey in a vulnerable, authentic and meaningful way has again landed the message, “Benay, get out of the way. We are all connected. When you love and care for others as if they are a part of you – miracles happen, heaven on earth happens”.
Our basic love and care for each other IS the sacred space for transformation.
To be heard without judgement
To share without someone trying to fix us
To listen fully and feel with another
To feel a little message for another bubble up from the soul and having the courage to lovingly express it
November 2021
As coaching keeps evolving, I’d love to see more and more of a return to oneness. It would be easy to start this movement within our own collective of coaches. mentors, teachers, healers and therapists first because most of us are already awake and practicing conscious living. We are already converted and are ready for more and deeper levels of personal transformation!
This month The Coach Guardian is featuring a series of essays on “the Future of Coaching”. I have read these and I can tell you that you will want to follow these throughout the month of November. The common threads and unique predictions are thought provoking and exciting.

Life's a Journey. I don't always get it right but I'm having FUN! I love helping coach changemakers shine their Light, even more, in the world. I do this through a range of enjoyable projects including Ready-Made Coaching Tools, The Coach Guardian, My Coach Office, and my One-to-one, 4-week, Re-Ignite Program (for tenured Changemakers in Transition).
