In this month’s edition, I am presenting an overview of the most important Astrological Events in December 2021, their meaning, and some guidance on how to take advantage of these energies.
Main Astrological Events in December 2021 and Their Meaning
Dec 3: Neptune goes direct
Enhanced creativity, better logical thinking, and increased ability for sound judgement. Veils of confusion and illusion are removed when Neptune goes direct.
Greater clarity on how to turn dreams into reality, stronger intuition and inspiration for spiritual pursuits and healing.
Dec 4: New Moon in Sagittarius
A good time to start learning new skills related to communication, writing and languages as well as planning for the creation and/or expansion of international connections and partnerships.
Dec 11: Venus conjunct Pluto (long term transit)
Transformation of relationships, finances, and personal values. Time to review attachment style and the need for intimacy and merging with others.
Venus, as a ruler of sensual, possessive Taurus and socializing and relating Libra symbolizes material wealth, sensual gratification, material security, love, romantic relationships, and marriage. The psychological needs to acquire, merge and attract are strongly emphasized through the conjunction of Venus with Pluto, as ruler of Scorpio.
The focus of those planetary archetypes is on intimate partnerships, money, and power and if taken to extremes (obsession, jealousy, possessiveness) can cause trouble and crises in love life and finances. For those with Venus in Scorpio as a natal position in their birth chart, these warnings are always present, as a life theme. The positive expression of that current astrological transit reminds us to love deeply and passionately and prosper financially through unions.
Dec 13: Mars enters Sagittarius
A new quest for meaning, hope, truth, and adventure! Think and act big but make sure to remain realistic and start new projects and endeavors with a clear vision and determination to bring them to completion.
Dec 16-31: Saturn square Uranus
This is the last of three heavy squares between the two planetary archetypes we have experienced this year. Possible financial struggles, resistance to innovations and liberation, the clash between old/conservative and new/reforming.
Dec 19: Full Moon in Gemini
It’s time to speak up, express thoughts and feelings, and share ideas with like-minded people.
Focus on finishing what you started in the past four weeks and make a fair assessment of what you have learned from the experience. Avoid ambiguous messages, choose authentic over fake and insincere.
Dec 20: Chiron goes direct
The ‘Wounded Healer’ Chiron in Aries creates the urge to take action to finally resolve chronic issues and heal inner wounds. It becomes easier to identify the psychological pain points and bring to conscious awareness the underlying causes of inner conflicts and blockages.
A great time to focus on inner work and the release of past hurts, to achieve healing and balance.
Dec 21-Jan 27, 2022: Venus Retrograde in Capricorn.
Past mistakes in relationships and money management need to be understood as lessons, part of inner growth. Prepare to build stronger and better foundations for happier relationships and lasting financial security.
Dec 28: Jupiter enters Pisces
Jupiter is back in Pisces and brings more kindness, generosity, inspiration, and spirituality into our lives. Dare to dream big and nurture your vision for a better world with acts of compassion and faith.Dec 31: Sun trine Uranus
