As coaches, we all have services that we want to share with the world. Many of us are looking for new ways to reach our audience and show our expertise. Sometimes we get sucked into the cookie-cutter approach to promotions where all we do is say “Buy My Stuff’ without showing the audience why they need it. In this article, we will discuss ways to promote with heart, not just gimmicks.

Sharing Your Why
Success Stories
Another must in promotion is sharing your success stories, better known as testimonials. These can be displayed as video, audio, or written. Each one serves a purpose but if you want the greatest effect you will use video. The video adds the connection of the visual, audio, and the realness factor. Here is a real person talking about their experience with your product, service, or business. Make sure these are real because no one likes the bait and switch technique. Have the person say their name in the video and put the name under the video as well. You can also add your branding to the video as well for added effect.
How-To / Informational Videos
These videos are how you build credibility by showing your expertise. They don’t have to be long but they do need to teach or share something that the people will receive from working with you in a bite-sized nugget. Don’t do a full coaching section, but talk about a coaching concept or technique that your future clients will find useful and can use immediately. This will keep them coming back to your videos and eventually look for more products or services from you in the future. Make sure that you include your branding on these videos with a call to action for them to get more information from your website or social media.
These methods have truly helped me over the years to get the clientele that needed and appreciated my coaching services. Remember that you are not for everyone, you are for someone and they are waiting for you to show up for them. We find them by letting them know we exist and we can solve their problem, through promotion. Sometimes heart-centered coaches have a hard time with promotion because they see promotions as sales, but it is so much more than that. Promotion is educating the person who is looking for a solution that you are the answer, and when you see it that way, the connections and the transformation will begin.
